What Is Explantation?
Explantation is the surgical removal of breast implants, either by personal choice or due to medical concerns such as implant rupture or capsular contracture. In some cases, the surrounding capsule is also removed, and a breast lift may be performed to restore shape.
How the Procedure Works
The procedure focuses on safe implant removal and aesthetic restoration.
Remove implants through a discreet incision.
Excise capsule tissue if medically required.
Perform a lift if needed to restore contour.
Refine shape for a natural, balanced result.
Surgical Techniques
Depending on your anatomy and degree of reshaping needed, we use one of the following incision types:
Inverted T
Most common for reshaping after removal.
Vertical
For moderate adjustments with less scarring.
Periareolar
For selected cases with minimal correction.
